Today we have the release of Domaine de Chevalier, a perennial favourite of Seckford Wines.
2019 is another excellent vintage in a run of fine vintages for owner Olivier Bernard; with Stephane Derenoncourt as consultant, their wines have been sensational.
This year Domaine de Chevalier has produced a masterpiece of poise & purity. The fruit shines through, and with lively acidity the 2019 dances across the palate. Olivier Bernard hails 2019 'a vintage among the greats'… and priced at £247 we couldn’t agree more!
DDC is a Seckford recommendation. Please request large formats at the time of ordering - thank you.

Intense, fresh and refined nose of red and black fruits. The aromas of black cherry, blackberry and blueberry dominate in an atmosphere of both peppery and sweet spices at the same time. Dense, delicate, delicious and energetic palate. Magnificent finesse concentration. Tight and elegant weft. Sweet flavors of ripe fruit are intense, salivating and accompanied by a gustatory complexity very typical of this vintages with graphite and liquorice. Great overall freshness. Impeccable and harmonious balance between the sweetness and liveliness of the different sensations.
