Prices
All prices unless otherwise stated are exclusive of duty, VAT & delivery charges. All are offered subject to availability.
All prices are subject to confirmation of order.
All wines are subject to remaining unsold and confirmation.
Delivery
Any claim for loss or damage must be made in writing within 5 days of receipt of invoice.
Goods should be received within 30 days of the order being placed unless another date has been agreed or stated. If goods are not received within this deadline, the consumer is entitled to cancel the order and claim a full refund.
Title & Risk
Title in all goods remains with Seckford Wines Ltd until paid for in full.
In case any lien is not satisfied within a reasonable time from the date the company gives notice, the goods (or the rights to them) may be sold and the proceeds of sale applied in or towards the satisfaction of every lien held by the company and all proper charges and expenses in relation thereto. If there is a surplus the company will account to the buyer.
All our wines are checked thoroughly to ensure that provenance and condition is as it reasonably should be.
We cannot be held responsible for any wine to be found out of condition.
At our complete discretion we will consider replacement or refund on an individual basis.
Payment
Payment is due on invoice, unless the account is subject to our authorised credit terms. For non approved 30 day trade accounts, goods will not be despatched until funds have cleared and payment has been received in full.
We reserve the right to charge interest at 5% (ex VAT) over bank lending rate.
Orders
A 'cooling off' period allows the consumer to cancel the order, for any reason at any time before delivery and then a further 7 working days after delivery. If they cancel the order, they are entitled to a full refund within 30 days. This is not applicable to our en-primeur offers.
Please note very carefully that if any wine ordered is not available due to events outside of our control and/or due to the negligence of the producer etc then we will refund in full any monies paid by the client only to the value of amounts paid by the client at the time of ordering.
Giveaways and Competitions
Unless otherwise stated, the prize draw or competition is run by Seckford Wines Ltd, Dock Lane, Melton, Suffolk, UK, IP121PE.
The prize
The prize is stated on each individual prize draw or competition (a ‘Promotion').
All prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, non-negotiable and cash alternatives are not available.
Seckford reserves the right at all times to substitute any element of the Promotion (including replacing any prize with an alternative) as necessary due to circumstances outside its reasonable control.
Eligibility
Entrants must be aged 18 or above at the time of entry and must have an address in the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland unless otherwise stated) to which the prize can be delivered. No Promotion is open to any employees of Seckford Wines or their families (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouses or life partners), or any person professionally connected with the relevant Promotion. Seckford reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants.
Instructions on how entrants may enter is stated on each individual Promotion.
Only one entry per person shall be allowed for each Promotion unless otherwise stated. Any further entries from persons who have already entered a particular Promotion shall be disqualified.
Winners may be required to submit valid identification before receiving any prize. Seckford reserves the right to invalidate the relevant entry and disqualify the entrant from any Promotion and refuse to award the prize if there are reasonable grounds to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions by an entrant.
Duration of Promotion
The closing date is stated on each individual Promotion.
Seckford reserves the right to modify, terminate, suspend or extend any Promotion at any time without prior notice.
Allocation of prize
If the competition is based on a random selection of one entrant from all those taking part, all qualifying entrants will be placed in the draw. Winners will be drawn after the closing date at random from all valid entries received.
If the competition is based upon the entrant completing a task, submitting a comment or taking part in a competition where an answer is judged, then this will be chosen by the directors of Seckford Wines based upon the quality of the submission, and their opinion of which is best.
Notification of prize
Winners will be notified by telephone, email or direct message within 72 hours of the relevant prize draw taking place. Entrants should ensure that Seckford has access to the correct contact details.
Seckford’s decision will be final and no correspondence regarding the prize allocation will be entered into.
Winners will have seven days from the date that Seckford first notified them to claim their prize. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of their prize. In case of forfeiture, Seckford reserves the right to carry out a subsequent draw.
Upon claiming a prize, winners will be required to send Seckford full details of their UK postal address to which the prize will be delivered (if not already provided).
Any Promotions run on Social Media shall be announced on our the relevant Social Media platform within 7 days of the closing date of the Promotion.
General
Winners may be required to participate in publicity associated with a Promotion and Seckford (or any third party nominated by Seckford) may use the winner's name and image and their comments relating to the Promotion for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice or without any fee being paid.
Seckford reserves the right to make any amendment or addition to these Terms and Conditions.
Entries will not be acknowledged and no responsibility can be accepted for entries which are not properly received due to circumstances beyond our control. Proof of entry is not proof of receipt.
Entrants are advised to retain and keep safe these Terms and Conditions. Entry to the Promotion confirms acceptance of these rules as final and legally binding.
The list of winners' names may be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Seckford Wines at the address set out in paragraph 1 within 1 month of the closing date.
The personal information supplied by entrants will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
These terms and conditions will be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England, unless entrants are resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in which case they may choose the law of their place of residence. Entrants irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless they are resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland in which case they may choose the courts of their place of residence.
Seckford shall not be liable in any way for a) any costs or expenses associated with claiming or redeeming any prize and not specifically included within the prize as stated on each individual Promotion, b) any damages, liability or injury arising out of or in any way connected with the Promotion or the prize other than those costs and expenses specifically stated on each individual Promotion. Nothing in this disclaimer is intended to limit the Seckford’s liability for death or personal injury arising out of the Seckford’s negligence.
