Vinous Antonio Galloni - 01 Feb 12
The 2010 Chambolle-Musigny Les Gruenchers boasts a highly expressive bouquet redolent of sweet red berries, flowers, tar and incense. There is an exotic quality to the Gruenchers that is immensely appealing. Layers of fruit build towards the textured, enveloping finish graced with a last burst of explosiveness. This is impressive juice.

Chambolle-Musigny

Chambolle-Musigny, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is renowned for its elegant, aromatic Pinot Noir wines. Known for their finesse and complex aromas of red berries, violets, and earth, these wines are often described as the most "feminine" of Burgundy. The appellation's two Grand Cru vineyards, Bonnes Mares and Musigny, produce highly sought-after wines with depth and ageing potential. Notable producers include Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Georges Roumier, and Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, all celebrated for their refined winemaking.
