Tasting Notes

Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Sep 17
Pale, bright yellow. Exotic on the nose compared to the 2016 version, offering aromas of lemon drop, orange and minerals. Quite ripe, even sweet, but not at all exotic on the palate, stuffed with rich lemon drop and ripe stone fruit flavors. Perhaps a bit aggressive as the second 2015 sample I tasted after going through a full line-up of Colin's '16s but this is amazingly rich and silky for Saint-Aubin. Finishes fine-grained and very long, with intense fruit and the power to last. An essence of vintage 2015 in style.
