Tasting Notes

Vinous Neal Martin - 01 Jan 19
The 2007 Brane-Cantenac was picked from September 21 to October 9. This bottle displayed the same notes as previous ones: blackberry, cedar and a touch of leather, nicely defined if missing a little vigor compared to the previous vintage. The harmonious palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, leading to a linear, slightly earthy finish that would benefit from more fruit. Drink this conservative, “safe” Brane-Cantenac now and over the next decade. Tasted at the Brane-Cantenac vertical at the property.
