Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Mar 07
Deep ruby-red. Somewhat musky aromas of redcurrant, tobacco and minerals. Suave on entry, then fat with fruit; concentrated and minerally, with a faint medicinal character as well as a suggestion of underbrush. This is densely packed but the finish shows an edge of acidity that has not yet harmonized with the wine. A bit awkward today. These vines would have benefited from a bit more water in 2005, said Prost, who noted that the leaves here turned yellow.
