Tasting Notes

Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Nov 02
Medium red. Warm, plummy nose shows a musky quality and hints of roasted meat and leather. Musky, sweet and aromatic in the mouth, with roasted plum and mint flavors that are still a bit youthfully tight. A slightly rustic wine made in larger casks.

Barolo Vineyard Fine Wine

Barolo

Barolo, the "King of Wines," is a prestigious red from Piedmont, Italy, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. Known for deep complexity, Barolo offers rich flavours of dark cherries, roses, truffles, and spices, with high acidity and firm tannins. It ages exceptionally well, evolving in depth and nuance. Barolo's diverse terroirs create a range of styles, from powerful to delicate. Top producers include Gaja, Bruno Giacosa, Giuseppe Rinaldi, and Marchesi di Barolo, all of whom exemplify Barolo's tradition and quality.
