The 2017 Beaune Les Teurons 1er Cru has an open-knit, charming bouquet brimming with red cherries, strawberry pastilles and hints of fig jam. I appreciate the delineation and purity here. The palate is medium-bodied with fresh ripe tannin, a fine line of acidity, clearly a Les Teurons detained to be elegant and tensile in style with a prickle of white pepper on the finish. Enjoy this over the next decade.
