The 2014 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Herbues has a commendable bouquet with bright cranberry and redcurrant fruit, a touch of forest floor and more vigor than some of its peers. The palate is well balanced with a powdery texture, a fine bead of acidity and a gentle grip with a mixture of red and black fruit towards the refined finish. This is aging really well.

Nuits-Saint-Georges

Nuits-Saint-Georges, a renowned appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is famous for its robust, structured Pinot Noir wines with rich flavours of dark cherries, blackberries, and plums, along with earthy, spicy notes. Known for firm tannins and full-bodied character, these wines are ideal for ageing. Although lacking Grand Cru vineyards, Premier Cru sites like Les Saint-Georges and Les Vaucrains produce exceptional wines. Top producers include Domaine Henri Gouges, Domaine Faiveley, and Domaine Robert Chevillon, all celebrated for showcasing the unique terroir with traditional winemaking.
