Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Jan 15
(from soil rich in young calcaire): Bright medium red. Wild aromas of smoky minerals, rose petal and pomegranate. The pomegranate fruit quality gives terrific cut to the mid-palate. Very nicely balanced wine with captivating inner-mouth tension and purity. The tangy red berry flavors are nicely framed by ripe, spicy, dusty tannins on the juicy aftertaste. Good mineral extract here.

Morey-Saint-Denis Fine Wine

Morey-Saint-Denis

Morey-Saint-Denis, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is known for its elegant, well-structured Pinot Noir wines that balance the power of Gevrey-Chambertin and the finesse of Chambolle-Musigny. These wines feature flavours of red and black fruits, earthy spices, and floral notes, with refined tannins and excellent ageing potential. Home to five Grand Cru vineyards, including Clos de Tart and Clos Saint-Denis, top producers like Domaine Dujac, Domaine Ponsot, and Domaine des Lambrays are celebrated for their traditional winemaking and expressive wines.
