Tasting Notes

92-93
Vinous David Schildknecht - 01 Feb 17
Smoke and piquancy are anticipated on the nose. Lime and white peach inform an oily-rich palate; accents of smoky black tea, iodine, saline and savory shrimp-shell reduction lend intrigue, cut and saliva-inducement on an impressively sustained, infectiously juicy finish. For all of its intrigue, this is also the most generous Riesling of its collection. Fermentation petered out with close to seven grams of sugar remaining, but they are well integrated and supportive of the fruit.
