Bright lemon-yellow. Pure, brisk aromas of lemon and white truffle. Dense, concentrated and sweet but with terrific framing energy and strong underlying spine. Finishes sappy and tactile, with a lightly tannic impression. A knockout wine from a vineyard that can quickly get overripe if the fruit is harvested even a day or two too late. In fact, this wine's structure reminded me of a Perrières, which is a remarkable accomplishment for Bouchères.

Meursault Fine Wine

Meursault

Meursault, in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, is famed for its rich and complex Chardonnay wines. Known for opulent textures, vibrant acidity, and nutty, buttery flavours with notes of stone fruits, citrus, and hazelnuts, these wines also feature a subtle minerality and creamy mouthfeel from limestone-rich soils and oak ageing. Though lacking Grand Cru vineyards, Premier Cru sites like Les Perrières, Les Genevrières, and Les Charmes produce exceptional wines. Top producers include Domaine des Comtes Lafon, Domaine Roulot, and Domaine Coche-Dury, all celebrated for showcasing Meursault's unique terroir.
