Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Mar 13
Bright medium red, a bit less saturated than the Grand Clos des Epenots. Terroir-driven nose offers raspberry, cherry, iron, minerals and earth tones. Utterly seamless grand cru texture, but with the wine's precision partly hiding its depth of flavor. A strong note of clove spice contributes energy. The slowly mounting, remarkably vibrant finish shows a refined touch to the tannins and outstanding length. There's nothing thick or overripe about this beauty.
