Pungent aromas of red cherry, nutmeg and mace; some oaky high tones. Concentrated, dense and ripe but not especially complex. Shows a roasted aspect in the mouth. Finishes slightly gritty, with big, palate-dusting tannins and some unabsorbed acidity. I'm not wild for this wine oak element.
