Tasting Notes

Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Jan 18
(these 2015 crus were bottled last April and May): Full medium red. Very ripe, expressive aromas of cherry, candied strawberry and garrigue. Very rich, silky, almost syrupy wine but with moderate alcohol and good energy to its ripe but dry red fruit flavors. The wine's serious tannins are nicely integrated on the long finish, which features enticing savory minerality and a late note of chocolate.

Morey-Saint-Denis Fine Wine

Morey-Saint-Denis

Morey-Saint-Denis, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is known for its elegant, well-structured Pinot Noir wines that balance the power of Gevrey-Chambertin and the finesse of Chambolle-Musigny. These wines feature flavours of red and black fruits, earthy spices, and floral notes, with refined tannins and excellent ageing potential. Home to five Grand Cru vineyards, including Clos de Tart and Clos Saint-Denis, top producers like Domaine Dujac, Domaine Ponsot, and Domaine des Lambrays are celebrated for their traditional winemaking and expressive wines.
