Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Mar 08
(all of these village wines were tasted from 500-liter tonneaux, although Lachaux emphasized that they're not demi-muids, as the staves are the same 27-millimeter thickness as barriques Good deep red. Sweet raspberry lifted by minerals and flowers on the nose. More reticent but purer than the Nuits, offering juicy, bright flavors of red fruits and minerals. Finishes with a lingering note of torrefaction.
