Vinous Neal Martin - 01 Dec 20
The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Chatelots 1er Cru is closed on the nose, but there is better delineation than in some of Boursot’s Premier Crus. The palate is more expressive and more charming than the Les Lavrottes, with more flesh and precision toward the dark-chocolate-tinged finish. Decent length. I would give this another year or two in bottle.

Chambolle-Musigny

Chambolle-Musigny, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is renowned for its elegant, aromatic Pinot Noir wines. Known for their finesse and complex aromas of red berries, violets, and earth, these wines are often described as the most "feminine" of Burgundy. The appellation's two Grand Cru vineyards, Bonnes Mares and Musigny, produce highly sought-after wines with depth and ageing potential. Notable producers include Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Georges Roumier, and Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, all celebrated for their refined winemaking.
