The 2021 Pommard Les Rugiens-Bas 1er Cru is Horiot's most satisfying aromatics from this appellation with raspberry, dark cherry and light floral scents. This has much more lift than the others. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, fresh acidity, taut and linear with a slightly savoury finish. Not a big Pommard but it opens nicely in the glass.
