Tasting Notes

Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Jan 13
(from rocky soil in the the smallest premier cru in the village, according to Laurent Lignier): Bright, full red. Briary redcurrant and smoked meat on the nose. Chewy and precise, with enticing sweetness to the flavors of redcurrant and plum complicated by saline minerality. Nicely savory wine, finishing with serious but fine-grained tannins and very good length. I like this.

Morey-Saint-Denis Fine Wine

Morey-Saint-Denis

Morey-Saint-Denis, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is known for its elegant, well-structured Pinot Noir wines that balance the power of Gevrey-Chambertin and the finesse of Chambolle-Musigny. These wines feature flavours of red and black fruits, earthy spices, and floral notes, with refined tannins and excellent ageing potential. Home to five Grand Cru vineyards, including Clos de Tart and Clos Saint-Denis, top producers like Domaine Dujac, Domaine Ponsot, and Domaine des Lambrays are celebrated for their traditional winemaking and expressive wines.
