Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Nov 00
Full red-ruby. Aromas of currant and roast coffee show an almost eau de vie-like ripeness. Rich, fat and utterly creamy; a wine of great lushness. The fine tannins are buried in thick, seamless fruit. The yield here was just 24 hectoliters per hectare, according to Voerzio.

Barolo

Barolo, the "King of Wines," is a prestigious red from Piedmont, Italy, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. Known for deep complexity, Barolo offers rich flavours of dark cherries, roses, truffles, and spices, with high acidity and firm tannins. It ages exceptionally well, evolving in depth and nuance. Barolo's diverse terroirs create a range of styles, from powerful to delicate. Top producers include Gaja, Bruno Giacosa, Giuseppe Rinaldi, and Marchesi di Barolo, all of whom exemplify Barolo's tradition and quality.
