Vinous Antonio Galloni - 04 Jan 24
The 2019 Barolo Vigna Lazzairasco is dark, brooding and not fully expressive, its mid-weight structure notwithstanding. Dried cherry, mint, cedar, tobacco, licorice and incense open with great reluctance. Most of the 2019s here are quite open. The Lazzairasco, on the other hand, needs time.

Barolo Vineyard Fine Wine

Barolo

Barolo, the "King of Wines," is a prestigious red from Piedmont, Italy, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. Known for deep complexity, Barolo offers rich flavours of dark cherries, roses, truffles, and spices, with high acidity and firm tannins. It ages exceptionally well, evolving in depth and nuance. Barolo's diverse terroirs create a range of styles, from powerful to delicate. Top producers include Gaja, Bruno Giacosa, Giuseppe Rinaldi, and Marchesi di Barolo, all of whom exemplify Barolo's tradition and quality.
