Vinous Neal Martin - 01 Sep 23
The 2022 Chablis Village, matured in stainless steel for 6 to 12 months, has a sprightly and energetic bouquet with citrus peel and Granny Smiths. The palate is well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity, crisp malic fruit. There’s just the right amount of tension and salinity on the finish to keep you coming back for more. Bravo.

Chablis

Chablis, the northernmost Burgundy region, is famed for its crisp, mineral-driven Chardonnay wines. Unlike rich, oaky Chardonnays, Chablis wines, influenced by the cool climate and limestone-rich soils, feature vibrant acidity and flavours of green apple, citrus, and flint. Ideal with seafood, especially oysters, Chablis wines come in four appellations: Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru, and Chablis Grand Cru. Esteemed producers like Domaine William Fèvre, François Raveneau, and Vincent Dauvissat are known for their classic, terroir-expressive wines.
