Château Saint Georges Côte Pavie is one of Saint Emilion’s prestigious Grand Cru Classé estates.
Bought by the Masson family in 1873 and situated close to the village, it's vineyards are surrounded by Ch. Pavie & Ch. La Gaffeliere. The winemaking is overseen by Alain Vauthier of Ch. Ausone. The wines are bold & fragrant from the dominant Merlot & Cabernet Franc. We think this has to be one of the best value wines in St Emilion.
We are delighted to offer a collection of vintages, all purchased on release, and currently stored under bond in original cases at Seckford Wines.
2010 Ch St Georges Cote Pavie
£275 per 12 bottles IB
90 Points (Decanter Magazine)
Smoky nose, with exuberant blackberry fruit. Lively and substantial on the palate with good vineyard expression from the fruit. A sumptuous style but not heavy-handed, and the finish is textured and long. Drink now - 2025
2011 Ch St Georges Cote Pavie
£195 per 12 bottles IB

St-Georges St-Emilion might be the smallest appellation in Bordeaux, but this 45 hectare property is the biggest estate, perched on the region's highest hill. It shows lovely maturity of plummy Merlot fruit, peppery spice and earthy notes on a full-bodied, round palate enlivened by fresh acidity. Drink now - 2025
2015 Ch St Georges Cote Pavie
£195 per 12 bottles IB
89 Points (Decanter Magazine)
Sweet and generous in tune with the 2015 vintage, with the limestone terroir providing freshness. Shows plenty of depth and substance, but the tannins are just a little angular and dry on the finish.
