We are delighted to offer a wonderful ten case parcel of perfectly mature Diana Madeline from Cullen.
In Margaret River, the Indian summer gave nearly perfect ripening growing conditions for the red grape varieties, in particular Cabernet Sauvignon. This combined with the influence of old vines, low yields and organic farming practices produced fruit of great potential.
This wine is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot. It spent 18 months in 225 litre oak barriques of which 40% were new.
Perfect provenance: These cases were imported by Liberty Wines and have been stored at Seckford Wines since 2006.

Vanya also gave me a taste of the 2001 Diana Madeline, one of her best recent vintages of this wine. Very deep garnet black in color, it has complex, savory, meaty aromas with an undercurrent of Chinese dried plums and soy, opening-out with air to espresso, leather and tobacco. At 14% alcohol and with a full body, the rich palate gives concentrated fruit, medium-firm fine tannins, crisp acidity and a long, chewy finish.
