Two Champagne houses that needs no introduction.

The wines of Dom Perignon are roughly 50/50 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In its youth Dom Pérignon is lively, vivacious with fine bubbles that are wonderfully balanced - with maturity comes richness and texture.

Krug are the one of the few houses left still making their Champagnes in small oak barrels, this, and the extended ageing makes the characteristically rich, nutty style that Krug is famed for. 

We are delighted to offer a collection of Dom Perignon & Krug, all from a single cellar, bought direct from Moet Hennessy and moved to Seckford for cellaring upon delivery into the UK.

An extraordinary chance to delve back into a library of releases from the houses. P2 Rose, 2008 vintage and the two great vineyards of Clos D'Ambonnay & Clos de Mesnil all feature. There are wines to be drunk now and wines that will reward further cellaring.

The 2008 Dom Pérignon is fabulous, but quite remarkably, it was even more open when I tasted it a year ago. Bright, focused and crystalline in its precision, the 2008 is going to need a number of years before it is at its best. Lemon peel, white flowers, mint and white pepper give the 2008 its chiseled, bright profile. Several recent bottles have all been magnificent. What I admire most about the 2008 is the way it shows all the focus, translucence and energy that is such a signature of the year, and yet it is also remarkably deep and vertical. In other words, the 2008 is a Champagne that plays in three dimensions.
