Germany
Without a doubt, the world’s greatest Rieslings are produced in Germany. From the searing acidity of the Kabinett to the unctuous and rich sweetness of the Trockenbeerenauslesen. The main regions in Germany are the Mosel (making the best, light and elegant wines), Nahe (which is hugely underrated and not many growers outside of Donhoff are known) and the Rheinhessen (which produces the firmer fuller styles of Riesling). The great sweet wines from growers like Egon Muller & JJ Prum are now some of the finest and most expensive in the world.
