Michel Chapoutier
Michel Chapoutier produces some of the finest, diverse and complex wines to be found in the Rhône valley. The focus here is on attaining the highest quality from the lowest yields which has traditionally resulted in huge scores from Robert Parker - 13 of the wines featured here score 99-100 /100!
All vineyards are run on biodynamic principles with the grapes in Hermitage and Châteauneuf du Pape being destemmed prior to fermentation. The grander wines spend up to 18 months in small oak casks, a third of which are new and are then bottled unfined and unfiltered to help preserve their character.
